Skills for Life

Quantum Training Services, are providers of Skills for Life support for all learners who have a skills for life need. We are accredited by EDI to deliver qualifications in literacy, numeracy and English for speakers of other languages. We deliver at level 2, level 1, and at entry level.

We design and deliver skills for life programmes that are contextualised to the NVQs you deliver. We also map your courses to the core curriculum in literacy and Numeracy.

Our skills for life programmes are usually delivered alongside the NVQ, so there is no delay for you.

The personal assessment takes just half an hour to complete. It includes meeting with the learner and having a one—to—one discussion along with a short diagnostic. This is carried out by a qualified skills for Life specialist.

We agree an individual learning with each learner. This may be for literacy, numeracy, or both. The programmes itself involves some work with small groups, along with some one–to- one coaching and personal support.

Sessions are usually one to two hours. Generally learners require no more than six sessions, including taking a couple of practice tests. The assessment is carried out on laptop computers using online tests. These tests are taken by the learners as part of their normal training sessions. Certification follows.
