Management Consultant
Roy trained in Norwich and
held many NHS appointments
before moving to
Lincolnshire to join the Mid
Trent College of Nursing.
The college then transferred
into the University of
Nottingham where Roy was
appointed to a specialist
teacher position.
Taking voluntary redundancy
He was offered the
opportunity to manage a
mental health care home
specialising in dementia.
The unit became a “centre of
excellence” before the
proprietor sold the company.
During this period Roy was a
finalist in the care Manager
of the year and for the
sometime held the
Operational Manager’s
position.
In 2005
Roy was admitted to the
Chartered Manger’s Institute
Having completed a level 4
Management Course.
Joining
Quantum in the latter part
of 2005 Roy was part of the
team developing and
delivering training courses,
including mandatory training
for Care homes and other
providers.
Since the
end of 2007 He has developed
Quantum Management Services
which offers a wide range of
management , support and
other services including
Audit and regulation 26
reports.
Current Vacancies:
A Management Consultant is
required to work with a
small group of consultants
to participate in carrying
out a range of management
functions. This position
would suit someone,
preferably with a Nursing
and Management background,
who should have excellent
knowledge of the Care
Standards Act and other
relevant legislation.
Knowledge of the Mental
Capacity Act would be a
distinct advantage. You will
be expected to participate
in large or small audits,
regulation 26 visits and
reports as well as develop
and manage through action
plans and projects. You must
be professional in your
approach and relationships
with Owners, proprietors and
Managers is an essential
element of this position.
The possession of a relevant
management Qualification is
an advantage.
